International Water Institute Publishes Process Management Guidance for Project Teams

The 1998 MN Flood Damage Reduction Work Group Mediation Agreement established a stakeholder-driven planning process that utilizes Project Teams comprised of stakeholders to provide for early coordination and communication during project development and permitting. The International Water Institute has documented recent lessons learned during the the Green Meadow Project Team (Wild Rice Watershed District) strategic planning/Concurrence Point effort.  The document is intended to provide assistance to other Project Teams working to develop flood damage reduction and natural resource enhancement projects in Minnesota. The process outlined should take no more than 8-16 months.
