BasinViewer is a web mapping application for the Red River of the
North Basin. It lets users build custom maps for display, analysis and
printing. It allows users to view GIS data created by other organizations.
BasinViewer gives users full navigation functionality to browse spatial data and
view certain layer's attributes.
BasinViewer was developed by
Houston
Engineering, Inc., as part of the RRBDIN project funded by the
U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers. It uses Mapserver,
"an OpenSource development environment for building spatially enabled Internet
applications".
