Zoom In Tool
This tool allows you to zoom in on a point that you pick. Click on the zoom in tool then click on the location you would like to zoom in on.
The map zooms in and has its center on the spot you clicked. You may also
zoom in by drawing a box on the map with your mouse. This redraws the map
to the extent of the box.
Zoom Out Tool
This tool allows you to zoom out from a point that you pick. Click on the zoom out tool then click on the location you would like to zoom out from.
The map zooms out and has its center on the spot you clicked.
Recenter Button
This tool allows you to recenter the map without zooming in or out. Click on the recenter tool then click on the spot where you want the center of your map to be.
You can also move the map around by clicking on the arrows
at the edge of the map.
Identify Tool
This tool allows you to bring up the attributes of a feature. Click on the
identify tool then click on the feature that you would like more information
about. A page
will display with the attributes of that feature and a map. The identified
feature is highlighted
in yellow on the map. Only those layers that have a
Q
after the layer name is available to identify.
Reset the Map to the Initial View
This tool allows you to
rest the map to the initial view. The initial view is a full view
of Red River of the North Watershed with all layers turned off.
Print Map Button
Clicking the print map button prints a map of the area shown.
